Press Release: January 1st 2009

In
an attempt to surpass current energy efficient regulations associated to
construction, the State Of Rhode Island has implemented air barrier specifications into
building code (RISBC-8: Pg. 9 - 502.6.1)
.

The EPA, Energy Star Homes, HERS Rating System as well as the USGBC LEED program
have all recognized the fundamental problem air infiltration presents to energy
conservation in Americas homes and offices.  With the average home experiencing
over .70 ACHnat (double the recommended amount), Rhode Island is looking to take a
pioneering position in conservation associated to leaky buildings.

Ecologic Spray Foam Insulation offers the preferred method of air sealing while also
complying with R-value requirements and vapor barrier requirements.  By fully
encapsulating a building in a blanket of continuous insulation - air leakage, moisture
infiltration and decreased BTU loss are experienced.  No other insulation system
currently available can achieve all these benefits while complying with building code.
